Home Made Christmas tree Ornaments

Home made Christmas Tree Ornaments

So I was looking online and found some cute ornament to try to make, and no way no how would anything I tried work.
So I decided I wasn't going to give up. I just shurt everythign down. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like so here we go.

By no means is this simple and super easy. It took me a few tries to get it right. I was trying different loops on the top, lengths, and stitching.
Here is my favorit way for this ornament to be done :)

You need
- your favorite kind of ribbon
- clear beads
- thread
 - needle
- sissors

Now I never messure exactly how much ribbon i need but trust me its not a ton!

I used regular red and green ribbon with clear plastic beads.

Loop your ribbon to make an "O" at the top. I find if you loop it and make an oval rather then a circle the ornament hangs on an angle and doesn't look right.

So anyways make a circle, and add a stitch. Do not knot the end first. If you do it like mine then you wont have any extra thread hangin out all over.

This is where you add your knot. Its the same place your first bead will sit. If you have long sting here, give it a trim :)

Add your bead, then curve your ribbon. I find if you make the first curve big, your tree will be reall thick.  After you find the right curve set it down and put your thumb where the needle should go through. This helped me so much its not even funny. I had a heck of a time trying to free style it.

Repeat your process.. Add bead curve ribbon, make sure you go bigger as you add your beads.

When you get to the end dont just tie a knot and be done with it, this can cause your ornament to snag easy or even come apart.
I took the needle and went right back up into the beads all the way to the top. This helps keep your ornament from moving too much too

When yo get the needle and thread back up to the top, do another stitch down but not into the bead. This is where we make our knot, and hide it so its not visible.

Messure the bottom length of your ribbon the same as the layer above the bead. Then cut the access off

All done! Enjoy your new decoration! I plan on making many more, with all differnt types of ribbon! Can you imagine the possiblities?!
